Workshop Frequently Asked Questions
1. What time do the workshops start and finish?
Our workshops have different schedules depending on the type of course that you have chosen, please refer to our schedule for more detailed information.
2. What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel your registration up to 48 hours before your workshop. Please let us know that you are unable to attend and you will not be charged any fees. Please note, if you fail to attend a program and have not informed us by phone or in writing at least 2 days prior to your worshop, your entire course fee is non-refundable.
If a course is cancelled or postponed, we will try to give you as much advanced notice as possible. For those clients who are unable to attend a newly revised location or on a different date, we will refund 100% of any pre-paid course fees; however, we will not be liable for any costs associated with travel, hotel, or any other consequential damages.
3. What are my payment options?
We accepts various forms of payment for our workshops including: Certified Check, Money Order, Visa, American Express, MasterCard or any major credit card. If you prefer, your organization may be invoiced for your workshop. Prices are subject to change without notice.
4. What is the dress code?
Dress as comfortably as you wish. If a business casual suit is your style, that’s fine. If you’d rather wear jeans and a sweatshirt, that’s fine too. Bear in mind, most of our workshops are mostly held on Saturday mornings, so feel free wear casual attire. Remember to bring along a sweater as the heating/air conditioning in our training room may be difficult to control.
5. What will I receive when I attend a workshop?
You will receive handout materials concerning your particular course registered for; appropriate aids, checklists, samples may also be provided where appropriate.
6. What is included in the price of my workshop?
In addition to your workshop handout materials and having the expertise of our instructors at your fingertips, you will receive unlimited coffee and water service, lunch is on your own, a selected bibliography of the best books or resources in the field, suggestions for further professional development and a certificate of completion.
7. What kind of support can I expect after I attend a workshop?
We offer a free 30 day follow-up telephone/email consultation service on most of our workshops. If you need additional advice or someone to discuss ideas with – please feel free to give us a call.
8. Will there be time to speak directly with the instructor when I’m at the workshop?
Feel free to have one-on-one discussions with your instructor while attending one of our programs. In addition to being available in the morning before the course starts; he/she will also be accessible during breaks.
9. What can I expect at a ABCBIZEVENT workshop?
You will be greeted by the course leader once you have checked in at the registration desk who will briefly review his/her expectations and objectives for each session. Coffee will also be available in the morning and afternoon. Course materials, name card and pens will be provided, please feel free to bring your own note books. Expect to find yourself in a small group of approximately 5-10 people which facilitates the group exercises planned as well as allows maximum class participation and feedback. Expect your course to be highly participative.
10. How are your workshops structured?
ABCBIZ Workshops are primarily "Hands On" computer workshops, we encourage students to follow along with our trainer on their own machines; however please let us know if you need us to provide equipment for you. Hand outs are provided and Trainer will also be available via email for any additional follow up questions or concerns.
Depending on the workshop for which you are registered, there are many group and individual exercises, case studies, and samples to critique. Clases are not boring - we’ll maintain a good pace and keep information sessions active and lively. We invite questions, comments, and even rebuttal at any time you wish. Breaks will be scheduled frequently so you can stretch, walk, talk, or make phone calls.
Invite a friend and learn some interesting things that will help you operate your business effectively or just learn how to master the computer.
11. Will I have an opportunity to network with anyone else?
There will be many opportunities to learn from your peers as well as your instructor. Occasionally our instructors hold a 30-minute forum where participants can discuss and problem-solve any non-workshop related training issues during this optional session which provides an informal networking opportunity for participants. We encourage social activity and business card exchanges which we find has been invaluable for building contacts, advancing learning, and discussing key concerns.
12. Do you offer One-On One Computer Training or Specialized Business Training?
Whether you are a beginner who desires become computer literate, an advanced individual who needs help with what you already know or if you are a student who needs a Tutor; we can help. We offer Basic to advanced Computer Literacy and Specialized One-On-One Business Training for Entrepreneurs one Saturday each month between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at our Training facility. Please register early as seating is limited.
13. Who are the Instructors?
Our Instructors are primarily experienced Entrepreneurs who have more than 20 years combined experience in Computer Training on various platforms and 20+ combined years of experience with Computer Software & Internals.
14. Do you offer Online Computer Training and/or At Our Own Organization?
We make it easy for you to learn in your own environment, save time and money. All you need is a computer and access to the Internet. We provide technology training to the community, fostering skills that enable individuals and entrepreneurs to succeed in a digital age.
